Back in the 1980s, lots of rural towns had post offices with this type of brick construction (actually, these post offices were built in the 1960s, but they lasted for a while). All of the other rural towns I know of have had new ones constructed. Stevenson, as with so much, has preserved this now old-fashioned post office look!
